FinGuide has entered into a partnership with the German company firstfive AG. firstfive offers banks and independent wealth managers the opportunity to externally verify and evaluate their performance. Clients receive detailed analyses from firstfive which includes a comparison with their competitors in terms of performance, Sharpe-ratio (risk-return ratio) and other key figures. The top five providers in each category (investment strategies and investment periods) are publicly listed on firstfive.ch. In addition, the best providers are given the opportunity to be profiled once a year in a comprehensive article in Bilanz.
When private banking providers present their potential clients with performance figures, the question always arises as to the accuracy of these values. Are these performances which have been achieved for actual clients? Have all costs been deducted? Who has checked the figures? If a bank or independent wealth manager has its figures checked by firstfive, clients can be sure that the figures have actually been calculated for clients and are correct.
FinGuide supports transparency in Swiss private banking and therefore represents firstfive in Switzerland. The aim of the cooperation is to motivate as many Swiss providers as possible to take part in the portfolio performance comparisons and have their performance verified by an independent body.
